Bantam recently sent over the proposed cover copy for PRODIGAL. Believe it or not, they have professional blub writers who do this sort of thing full time–a precarious job, if there ever was one. Imagine having to please editors, publishers AND egotistical authors at the same time. So here’s to you, Mr. Blurb Writer! We hope they make a beer commercial about you someday.

And We’re Off…

To New York, that is! I just finished the final polish on PRODIGAL today and sent it off to Bantam. As I mentioned in my previous post, there was quite a bit of cutting involved–almost a hundred pages, if you toss in the two previous drafts. Hell, if I’d been that economical from the start, I would’ve finished the dang thing a lot sooner!

So now the manuscript weighs in at a (still) hefty 507 pages. That’s ...

After a couple of solid weeks of work, I’m almost finished with the first editorial pass at PRODIGAL. Holiday Happenings

Well, the holidays here in the States are off to a roaring start! I’ve been informed by my editor to expect some heavier edits on PRODIGAL, which comes as no surprise.
