eBay that iPod?

One of the things that fascinates me as a writer is the difference between perception and reality–or, as things seem to be going these days, the increasingly fuzzy line between the two.  Take, for instance, the recent furor over a Forrester Research report that extrapolated some profit projections for Apple’s iTunes download service.  Well, apparently some media outlets decided to cherry pick a few of the findings and then rushed out breathless headlines that stated, “iTunes sales plummet ...

Brew Christmas 2006

Here in the States, another Thanksgiving has come and gone. That means a lot of turkey hangovers out there–not to mention the inevitable leftovers from the holiday feast. Fortunately, in my house, that includes a number of fine beers that somehow didn’t get consumed during the free-for-all around the dinner table! Of course, me shuffling them to the back of the fridge might have had something to do with it… 😀

There is another hidden danger, though, and you don’t even need your car keys land yourself in trouble.

That’s right. I’m talking about iTunes.

I found out the hard ...

I Know, It’s Only the Disney Channel…

…but I like it.

All right, maybe like is too strong a word.  Call it a strange fascination.  Brain candy, if you will.  A way to put the mind on cruise control for a while.  Over the last few days it has become something of a habit–just me and my daughter Lexie, curled up on the couch, watching a roster of bizarre yet mesmerizing shows:  That’s So Raven.  Phil of the Future.  Hannah Montana.  And, of course, the incomparable Suite Life ...
