You Remember That New Book I Promised?

Yeah, yeah–it’s been forever since I sneakily announced a new book was in the works. And yes, it’s also been forever since I last posted anything here on the site. But life, being what it is, has a tendency to get in the way of things like blogging and whatnot–and so does writing and editing a novel!

On that note, though, I’m happy to announce that the work is complete and the new book is now available on Amazon! You can download as an e-book or get a fancy-shmancy trade paperback if you’re still rockin’ the paper (I’m an avid Kindle reader, but there still is nothing quite like holding an actual physical copy in your hands). The title, as I’m sure you’ve gathered by now from the front page of this site, is CANDIDATE Z:

Vote early and vote often

If you’re thinking that I shamelessly timed the release of this book to take advantage of the 2020 election season, you’d be correct! I originally conceived the idea in a Colorado hotel room three years ago, shortly after the drama of Election 2016, when one of those “Wouldn’t it be funny if…” notions popped into my head early one morning. The idea stuck, so I spent the next six months puzzling out the storyline, which ended up with even more twists and turns than I had imagined at the beginning. After that, it was a mad dash to get a first draft done in time to make a 2020 release–which, I’m now happy to say, has succeeded!

CANDIDATE Z marks a return to contemporary thrillers for me, after spending my first three published works firmly in the territory of science-fiction–although there are plenty of high-tech elements in place here. The result is a story that is part mystery, part techno-thriller, and lots of the pulse-pounding action that I can’t resist. Hopefully you won’t be able to resist either! Check it out, give it a download, or add to your Amazon Prime cart–and please do let me know what you think!
